How do I know what my business is worth?
We start with a full valuation — including a market range with comparables and normalized financials — so you have a realistic, defensible number before we ever talk to a buyer. Most owners either overestimate or underestimate what they have. We make sure you go to market knowing exactly where you stand and why.
How long does it typically take to sell a business?
Timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of your business, but most of our engagements move from initial preparation through close in 6 to 12 months. The preparation phase — clean financials, a strong CIM, a vetted buyer pool — is what determines how smoothly and quickly diligence and closing go. We run a tight process designed to keep deals moving.
Will my employees, customers, or competitors find out I'm selling?
Confidentiality is built into every step of our process. Buyers sign NDAs before receiving any information about your business, and we control what gets shared and when. We don’t broadcast your listing — we run targeted outreach to qualified buyers who have already been vetted. Your employees, customers, and competitors don’t need to know anything until you’re ready for them to.
What does your exit process actually look like from start to finish?
We run four stages: Valuation & Preparation (full valuation, normalized financials, and a CIM packet ready for serious buyers), Marketing & Outreach (targeted outreach to our buyer network, NDAs gated, qualifying calls scheduled), LOIs & Deal Selection (management meetings, initial Q&A, and LOIs — we bring you options, you choose the buyer and deal), and Diligence & Closing (we manage the Q&A, coordinate counsel and financing, and protect the deal all the way to the closing wire).
Do I need to have my financials cleaned up before working with you?
Not necessarily — but clean financials will significantly impact your valuation and the strength of buyer interest. If your books need work, we can help get them into shape as part of the preparation phase. The goal is to present your business in the best possible light so buyers see a clear, credible picture of what they’re acquiring — and pay accordingly.
